About the Host

Hi, I’m Cruz! I’m a lens-based artist who merges photography, poetry, and alternative processes like cyanotype to explore connection, memory, and emotion. I’ve been leading workshops for years, often alongside friends and collaborators, but this session I’m excited to guide you through the process solo. My goal is to create a welcoming, low-pressure space where we can learn, make, and share together :)

Workshop Overview:

• Learn to create cyanotype prints using a custom UV lamp setup.

• Submit your own photos or drawings prior to the workshop to transform them into cyanotypes.

• All materials are provided, but feel free to bring flat items like leaves, flowers, or your own black-and-white negatives!

• I’ll also have negatives available for you to use.

• Take home up to two 6” x 9” cyanotype prints on watercolor paper.

Provided Materials:

• All necessary chemicals, trays, markers, negatives, and 2D materials.

• No prior photography or image transfer experience required.

Workshop Details:

• Duration: Approx. 2 hours for workshop

• Doors open: 5:45 PM - workshop starts at 6:00 PM + afterwards I’ll be serving you all the best ice cream from Ruru Baked!

• Location: Ruru Baked, 659 Lansdowne Ave, Toronto, ON M6H 3Y2

• Please note that all workshop ticket sales are final and non-refundable. However, if you're unable to attend, you’re welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else or donate it to our community pool, where it can be offered to someone who may not otherwise have access to the workshop.
